Shakespeare went to school, but only for a short time. William started school in 1571 at the age of 7 at the
Stratford Grammer School, which then changed its name to King's New School. He was taught reading, writing, and
classics. Life at school for William would be very strict. They would get a lot of punishments, like getting hit with a
cane. They would also have to go to school for very long hours, 6 days a week. During William's schooling, William
did fairly well, but he did very well in latin, as he had a great love for latin literature. In the late 1570's, John
Shakespeaere's fortunes declined, and William had to drop out of school because his father didn't have enough
money to pay his tuition fees. Shakespeare dropped out of school in 1578, at the age of 14. Since William didn't get
to finish his schooling, he did not get the chance to go university, therefore he didn't get to learn another subject,
such as Art, Philosophy, Poetry, History, Music, Arithmetic, Law, Medicine, or Astronomy. Throughout his life, his
motivation was his family and all the tragic events that happened in his life, like the deaths of his siblings, because
that is what pushed him to be stronger.
By 1592, William moved to London, England to work as an actor and a playwright in the "Lord Chamberlain's
Men", an acting company in London, which then changed its name to, "King's Men," in 1603. King's Men was very
popular at the time, and they were mostly popular to the noble people.
